Our Aim
Young Conservatives for Christ is a youth-led initiative focused on getting young Christians involved in the political process by partnering with existing Christian organisations in the political sphere. Our focus is on faith, family and life and being salt and light in the world today.
Faith
We believe in a Christ-centred approach to politics, and that the Christian faith is integral to a flourishing society. It is our belief that Judeo-Christian values have been crucial in the development of the West and are necessary for a prospering nation. Thus, we will strive to uphold these values and advocate for a faith-centred society, nation, and community.
Family
We believe in the nuclear family, as Jesus outlines in Matthew 19:4-6: “Have you not read that he who made them at the beginning made them male and female,” and said, “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” Thus, we will strive to uphold these values in public policy and rhetoric.
Life
We believe in the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death. We believe this is Biblically founded – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…” (Jer. 1:5) and this belief is reinforced since first century teachings of the Church. Thus, we will strive to protect human life at all stages.
